Matrox Announces World's First Single-Slot PCIe 8 Video Graphics Card. Matrox M9188 supports up to eight DisplayPort or DVI Single-Link outputs. Combine a second card for up to 16 displays all on a normal workstation. Most Highend workstations now come with 2 to 4 pcie x16 slots on them. no word on weather you can put 4 of these bad boys together. The Matrox M9188 PCIe x16 offers 2GB of memory, resolutions up to 2560x1600 per output, and the management software to go with it. This card retails for $1995 and is aimed at large business management facilities. These businesses need large amount of visual data such as energy and traffic management. This card is one step closer to have an awesome Lex Luthor (or similar evil doer) style Lair. Matrox
